All active license holders shall complete a minimum of 20-hours of approved continuing chiropractic education per year to coordinate with the annual license renewal cycle (September 1st – September 1st of each year).
It is the chiropractor's responsibility to submit completion verifications and/or transcripts to the Board. Do not assume that the program sponsor will automatically submit records to the Board.
All licensees must complete a total of three (3) hours of professional boundary study every three (3) years, prior to the renewal of their licenses. These hours are a part of the total 20-hours of continuing education required annually and will be credited to the year they are completed. These hours are not in addition to the the annual 20 required hours.
The current 3-year cycle for all chiropractic license holders is: September 1, 2024 through September 1, 2027.
Any license holder, who is authorized by the board to practice needle acupuncture, must complete, as a part of the licensed chiropractors’ annual requirement, two (2) hours of continuing education in acupuncture or acupuncture-related subjects. These hours are a part of the total 20 continuing education hours required annually, not in addition to the 20 required hours.
Any license holder, who is authorized by the board to practice dry needling, must complete, as a part of the licensed chiropractors’ annual requirement, two (2) hours of continuing education in dry needling or dry needling-related subjects. These hours are a part of the total 20 continuing education hours required annually, not in addition to the 20 required hours.
