Requirements for Certification
Certification in ND is a 3-step process:
Education; Examination; and State Licensure
Education:
24-hours of CCCA Education via the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB). Education is completed online.
Examination:
Successful completion of the CCCA Examination via the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB). Examination is completed online.
State Licensure:
Apply for the ND Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant Certification. Online application.
Certification is NOT required for individuals who solely perform administrative activities of a non-clinical nature.
Reciprocity:
Applicants who are certified in other jurisdictions, may apply for ND certification. The applicant must provide evidence satisfactory to the board that the applicant:
- Has current practice privilege in good standing as a Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant or equivalent granted by at least one jurisdiction whose requirements (education & examination) are similar to or greater than the requirements of this board; and
- Has presented to the board current documentation that any practice privilege granted by another jurisdiction as a Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant or equivalent has not been suspended, revoked, or otherwise restricted for any reason except non-renewal.
